The central government has already announced to increase the DA of central employees. Some time back, the Gujarat government had also announced to increase the dearness allowance of its government employees. Now another state government has made an announcement regarding this.
8 lakh employees will get benefit
About 8 lakh employees and pensioners will benefit from this decision of the state government. Along with this, the pension of those who are pensioners is also going to increase from next month.
The state government says that all the employees will be given increased amount from July to October. However, employees are going to get arrears from July to October.
4 percent increase in DA
Keeping in mind the upcoming festive season, the Central Government had also announced a 4 percent increase in DA for central employees on Wednesday last week, due to which the dearness allowance of the employees has increased as compared to before.
The state government we are talking about today is that of Odisha. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has recently announced to increase the dearness allowance of government employees by 4%.
More than 4.5 lakh government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners of the state are going to get direct benefits from this decision of the state government.
